DC'S NEW 52 HAS INSPIRED ME!

Okay. No. It's not the quality of the New Batwoman 52 comic. But, the New 52 has me writing and drawing again. And right now, my favorite new character is Batwoman! I love her new comic. Kate Kane is an awesome Batwoman.

I have to admit though, the ending of Batwoman #5 has my tummy doing flip flops. I'm not much liking some of the turns Kate's taking but, I'm going to give DC the benefit of the doubt that they won't disappoint me. They haven't so far:)

TWO NEW FIGURES ON THEIR WAY!

I wanted to order a Bruce Lee Hot Toys action figure from BBTS but, I just couldn't bring myself to part with over $100 for a figure right now so, I ordered 2 UFC figures that I've been wanting.

Lyoto The Dragon Machida is my ultimate favorite fighter in the UFC so, I had to order him. He's from The UFC series 5 which means he'll have that extra articulation below the shorts that allows you to twist his leg 360 degrees. His realistic face likeness comes with a new focused face sculpt. I'm waiting to have him in hand to do a comparison of the bodies. It looks like a different body than the ones I have. I don't know if it's a different body sculpt or if it's just their new and improved sculpt for that particular size fighter. He fought Shogun and I have Shogun but, their muscles don't look the same. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I also ordered Nate Diaz. I am so excited for this figure. He's like my second favorite fighter of all time! I know. I know. If you follow the UFC, Nate is a bad boy. He's got an attitude and likes to fight. He thinks, he is the shit. Really, he does, and I do too. I find him endearing. Can't explain it. Don't usually like the cocky arrogant sort of fighter but, this guy, I like. Go figure?

Anyway, he's from UFC series 8. So, he comes with the added articulation too. something that I noticed on some of my newer figures is that they added detail to the calf's. The earlier calf's are just smooth. The newer ones have definition of the muscles added.

Well that's all for now. Just waiting on my figures to arrive:)

I can not believe that I am collecting DC comics. I'm a marvel girl but, this new 52 is awesome. I've got the local comic book owner pulling 3 tittles for me. Batwoman, Wonder Woman and Catwoman. I walk in and he hands them to me.

The only Marvel Comic I'm following is Utimates Spider-Man. Have I changed over? No, I still love me some X-men, Avengers, Spider-Man and others. But, I can't stop reading DC right now. I'm loving the artwork and story lines.

KMART CLEARANCE ACTION FIGURE HAUL

I took my girls out for one last hooray before school started back yesterday and found a pleasant surprise. Kmart had series 3 and 4 UFC figures on clearance marked down and 50% off of the markdown. So, I got 4 figures for less than $20. They were $4.50 each!

I got Mark Coleman, Sean Sherk, Jon Fitch and Matt Huges! Mark is the only Heavy weight body I've got. I want Brock Lesner but, I really don't like him. But, since he was the heavy weight champ, I need him for my collection.

The figure above is of Mark The Hammer Coleman. This is the only heavy weight UFC figure I have. He's one of  the figures I picked up yesterday for $4.50. I'm not a big fan of Coleman but, at $4.50 I couldn't pass this figure up. I did notice that because of the bulk of this figure, the abd. crunch on it isn't as flexible. It doesn't have as much range of motion.

Matt Hughes figure is also one of the figures I picked up yesterday for $4.50!

 I was happy to get this Joh Fitch action figure. Now my BJ Penn figure has someone to spar with.

The last figure I picked up was Sean Sherk. Pretty good haul for less than $20.

UFC 118: Randy Couture Thought James Toney Fight Would End Like it Did

Just watched DVR fight of Randy The Natural Couture Kick James Toney's butt. I love it! Randy was like 47 years old and is still a bad ass! James was talking so much smack and didn't make it throught the first freaking round. He choked him out.

Good times, Good Times:) Back to cleaning house.
