MY 7 INCH UFC FIGURES

I thought I'd show off my UFC highly articulated figures. I only have three but, the local Olie's store has a couple more of these guys on clearance and they just got the Rock in. I know. The Rock is WWE but, who doesn't like the Rock. Besides, I can see The Iceman Chuck Lidell and the Rock going at it. Enjoy the picks.

Here's a shunken version of one of my favorite UFC fighters, BJ Penn. I hate that he lost one of the last fights of his career. He is considering retiring now. He was awesome in his prime. Love him! His action figure likeness is wearing a UFC championship belt that he held. This figure comes from UFC series 3.

Here's a pic of Chuck Iceman Lidell. He has an open mouth with a tooth guard. The Likeness of this figure to the actual man is unbelieveable, especially when you think about the scale of these figures only being 7 inches. They did a great job of capturing the fighters likenesses.

These figures are acurate down to the tatto on Shogun's shin. The detail is amazing. Shogun also has tattos on his inner biceps. How awesome is that?

Mauricio Rua or Shogun has Chuck Iceman Lidell at a disadvantage. Shogun is from the Pride series. Pride 33 second coming to be exact. Chuck is from the UFC series 3.

Here's a close-up of Shogun. All three figures have different body types. BJ is the smallest. Chuck is in the middle and Shogun is the biggest of all. There is a larger body type than Shogun. Jaks had to allow for bigger UFC fighters like Brock Lessner.

These guys are ultra flexible. As the series of UFC fighters have continued the figures have gotten better as far as flexibility. Even though they are from the same series, BJ is not as flexible Shogun or Chuck.

Chuck is from the same series as Shogun but because he doesn't have the molded fight shorts, he is more flexible than Shogun.

I've played around with stop motion and I think these little guys would be perfect for stop motion because of their ultra flexibility. When I get my new camera I think I'll give it a shot.

Chuck KOs Shogun! And strikes his famous pose. Hope you have enjoyed the pics. I was inspired to do alittle something different after viewing some of my fellow collector blogs. I really love these figures. I think I'd totally geek out if they gave these guys the 12 inch treatment with the same articulation. I have counted 30 points of articulation on these little guys. That's more than enough. I'd be willing to pay in the $30 range. Think about it Jaks?!

These are the figures that I hope Santa brings me:) The one in the white trunks is another version of Shogun. The one in the black trunks is one of my ultimate favorite fighters, Lyoto The Dragon Machcia!

New 1/6 clothes

For you collectors on a budget, lookout for new Ken fashions that fit most 1/6 action figures. I have ordered clothes for my figures before but, keeping an eye out for Ken Fashionistas line will help keep you on target with your budget.

Speaking of budget, I had planned to buy a couple of high end Hot Toy figures but, they have priced me right out of their market. Won't be upgrading to Hot Toys anytime soon unless they bring their prices back to where they were a couple of years ago. I'm too frugal for that.

New face sculpts

Well not new but, new to me. I thought I had most if the PTE face sculpts, but I discovered this morning that I am about 80 short! I don't expect to get all 80 but I am hoping to score some of my favorites from.the past.

How happy am I with my local Big Lots? Very!

I also picked up Batwoman #3 and Ultimate Comics all new Spider-man at my local comic shop. I actually picked up the last Spider-man #4. Both comics were released today.

Wish me luck.

I will be heading out to get these hot off the press. BTW if you are wondering why you are getting more than one post on the same day...I'm off and in the bed sick but, my fingers are still working:)

ACTION FIGURE BODIES

ACI is coming out with a really good looking muscular action figure body. I saw it this morning on Cotsworld for $46. The bodies look great! But, they don't come with a head. The AA bodies look fantastic, but no head.

And if you are a collector like myself, you know that finding a really good AA head sculpt is nearly impossible. Here's a look at the bodies.

Like I said, the bodies look great but, I don't know where I would find a head for them. I already have the President Obama Hot Toys advanced body.

And the slim truetype based on Terrence Howard.

When I first started buying the truetype Hot Toys base body, they cost $32 and they came with a face sculpt. Now if you want a base figure they cost between $40 - $50.  Even though the ACI  bodies really look good, I don't think I'll be buying any because I'd rather purchase a figure that comes with a sculpt. I can change it out if I want to later.

I've being thinking about Enterbay lately.

You can grab this figure with the Jason Borne face sculpt for about $35. This body type is very similar to the original truetype body but, it is a bit taller than the true type. Keep that in mind when making your decision.

Hot Toys has a new muscle body out later this year with a head sculpt included. It goes for $54 at Big Bad Toy Store. I'd be willing to pay that for this figure because by the time you find and pay for a head sculpt, you'd end up spending at least that much anyway.

I love my PTE figures but, what I notice is they haven't quite figure out how to make the faces of the AA realistic like the other nationalities.

And like I said, there aren't alot of AA good sculpts out there. I wouldn't want to pay $50 for a body and then put this face on it.
